YO Zombie Master

In keeping with our love of trying out new mods, YO have a new Zombie Master server running at 85.236.98.56:27045 (yoclan.com:27045).

"Zombie Master is a multiplayer Half-Life 2 modification, centred around a zombie-apocalypse, which throws all but one player in the shoes of human survivors. Pitched against a relentless tide of rotting flesh, they must scavenge for weaponry and equipment just to stay alive. But that one player, chosen randomly at the beginning of the round, is not bound by mortal restraints.

To speak his name is to invite the wrath of hell - but most call him the 'Zombie Master'. He is nigh omnipotent. His invisible hand controls the legions of undead like puppets on strings; slowly closing the net on the humans while they run to and fro like rats in a maze.

I like the game idea, It plays relatively well and as zombie commanders get better I imagine the gameplay will improve. However the one map is a bit of a blow, it gets boring :(

what murph said, and its sooooo hard to win as the humies. but its fun non-the-less :D

it's a lot of fun, but there is a lot of waiting around when you die. It also sucks if you don't get a good weapon. I think the fact that you can join a server and might have to wait up to 10 minutes to join in the fun will deter a lot of people from playing it. There needs to be a late join timer of around 3 minutes.

Playing Zombie Master is confusing as hell the first couple of times, but once you get the ropes, it is a lot of fun. As ZMs get better at the game, it will produce a lot of fun games. I played a couple of rounds last night against a really good zombie master, who protected all the parts really well at the start, and ambushed people returning with them. We beat him once but it went down to the wire.

There are some custom maps up already on zombiemaster.org. Maybe you guys could install them on the server and link them here. It probably isn't a good idea to put them in the mapcycle, but maybe admins could change to them if the players are up for it.

Just a note, Beta 1.0.2 was released last night and the server has been updated.

Some really bad bugs that weren't looked at in this release, and some gimmicks added :/ Hopefully this isn't the full changelog!

uhh ... even more horrible is the fact that, twice i have attempted to join and twice the server has crashed :|
noowww... am i YO's kryptonite or somthing ?
thought the game was suppose to be more stable now :(
