I never got bored in Doom3, but the final boss was a bit easy tbh!
GR:AW was pretty damn good.

But for a SP experiences I keep going back to, look no further than Operation Flashpoint and the Max Paybe series.

Deus Ex is truely classic gaming.

Don't know. When I was playing Planetside, everyone in my outfit was raving about Huxley being a replacement MMOFPS style game, as PS was ageing and stagnating. Now it just seems like its gonna be another run of the mill MMORPG with mainly NPC based combat. Only with enhanced graphics.

deus ex can be played through so many different ways.

the first time i played it i was all sniper rifle and stealth pistol. great sneak-em-up.

second time , GEP gun and Flamethrower. eventually dropping flamethrower for silenced assault rifle. you could attach a laser to practically every wepon in that game. surprised the knife didnt have a scope and laser.

after you get the blue sword of death, the game is really fun though. its 1-2 hits to kill even the guys near the end at area 51 and stuff.

i really need to play it again. i installed it on this system a few weeks ago and the dual core made it run uber speedy. sorted when i set its affinity, but could be useful for the slower bits of the game =P

I think we're mostly on the same page regarding games, i seem to have had the same problems you've had with games aswell.

There's a few more games I did like a lot. Icewind dale 1 and 2 are brilliant to my idea.

Also GEIST on the gamecube is simply one of the most fun games ever, it's not so great in story, but the way it's told and the things that are possible, it's definately something to look at. If you have a gamecube :p

Another game that I really enjoyed, to my opinion it's even one of the best games ever made, is Resident evil 4. It looks superb, plays superb, feels superb and just works! Replayability is also top notch. Thing is, this one was originally also for the gamecube, then, a year later it was released for the playstation 2. Unfortunately, the ps2 has much less power than the gamecube, so it looks much less beautiful. But now it's set for early 2007 to release for PC. It's a game everyone should check out. Just utterly brilliant.

And goku is right, i'm sorry to have stolen your thread mister denzilbread.

I was a dreamcast man. No console will ever give me a better gaming experience than the dreamcast did.

I too loved Res Evil, my fav was Code Veronica on the DC.

hmm... Laykes on drugs.

I was a dreamcast man, so you post a link to a SNES game. Then state you get headaches, and I quote, "beacuse I was played Street Fighter 2 for so many hours" which is a COMPLETE DIFFERENT GAME!

DC was great, the gamecube could get a bit of that feeling back somehow, as they remade res evil 0 and one for it. RE4 is a bit different though, VERY different, it's kind of mgs style somehow.

I cannot believe there are ppl who did not like HL1.

I was so bummed when they announced that HL2 would not take place in Black Mesa. I did not even buy HL2 for a year because of that. That, and a need to upgrade to a new PC :)

But after I finally played HL2 I must admit that I liked it more than HL1.

Ive played HL2 to the point where going a small step would lead me to the crashing of the plot and playing that 4h straight.
